The Antibodies.com Anti-CD89 Antibody [MIP8a] is a Mouse IgG1 monoclonal that recognizes human CD89, also known as FcαRI and encoded by the FCAR gene. CD89 is the type I transmembrane receptor for IgA and is constitutively expressed on neutrophils, eosinophils, monocytes, macrophages, and certain dendritic cell subsets, where it triggers IgA-driven effector functions including phagocytosis, antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity, and release of inflammatory mediators such as TNF-α and IL-8.

Clone MIP8a is widely cited in immunology and mucosal-immunity research, with published use in studies of neutrophil activation, Fc receptor signaling, and IgA effector responses. Supplied unconjugated in liquid form, this reagent is validated for flow cytometry (FACS) and immunofluorescence (IF) staining of human peripheral blood leukocytes and tissue sections. Suggested starting amounts for FACS are commonly in the 1–5 µg per 10&sup6; cells range, with final working dilutions titrated empirically per application.

Storage: store at 4 °C for short-term use; for longer periods, aliquot the antibody and freeze at −20 °C to limit freeze-thaw cycles. Shipped in a single-use vial as a 200 µg liquid preparation. For research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
