The MIP8a clone is a well-characterized mouse IgG1 reagent that recognizes human CD89 (Fc alpha receptor I, encoded by the FCAR gene), the high-affinity receptor for IgA expressed on neutrophils, monocytes, macrophages, eosinophils, and certain myeloid subsets. It binds the extracellular domain of the receptor and has been used in studies of IgA nephropathy, IgA-mediated inflammation, and FcαRI signaling pathways. Supplied by Antibodies.com as a liquid unconjugated preparation at 100 µg, the antibody is validated for flow cytometry and immunofluorescence staining of human cells. For handling, aliquot the vial upon arrival and store at -20 °C in a manual defrost freezer; limit freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity. Provided in a single vial and intended for research use only.
