Anti-CD83 Antibody

This polyclonal reagent targets CD83, a transmembrane glycoprotein of the immunoglobulin superfamily that serves as a maturation marker for dendritic cells and is also upregulated on activated B and T lymphocytes. Raised in rabbit and supplied unconjugated by Antibodies.com, the antibody is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA workflows on human samples and is shipped as 100 µl of liquid in a single-use vial.

The reagent supports characterization of mature dendritic cells in vaccine and inflammation studies, identification of Reed-Sternberg cells in classical Hodgkin lymphoma tissue by IHC, and tracking of lymphocyte activation in transplant and autoimmune disease research. Polyclonal specificity offers broader epitope coverage than monoclonal alternatives, useful when probing conserved regions across CD83 isoforms or when IHC antigen retrieval conditions partially mask a single epitope.
