The D8-23 monoclonal antibody recognizes CD80 (also known as B7-1 or BB1), a ~60 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein of the B7 family of co-stimulatory molecules. Expressed on activated B cells, dendritic cells, macrophages, and other antigen-presenting cells, CD80 binds CD28 and CTLA-4 on T lymphocytes to deliver the critical second signal required for T cell activation and proliferation.

This unconjugated mouse IgG2b reagent from Antibodies.com is validated for western blot, immunocytochemistry, and formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded immunohistochemistry on human and murine samples. Provided as a 100 µg liquid formulation, it is utilized in immunology research investigating co-stimulation, transplant tolerance, autoimmune disease models, and tumor immune evasion. Store aliquots at -20 degrees C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity.
