The Antibodies.com polyclonal antibody recognizes CD79a (also called Ig-alpha or MB-1), a 47 kDa transmembrane signaling component of the B-cell receptor (BCR) complex. CD79a is expressed from the late pro-B-cell stage through mature B-lymphocytes and is largely lost upon terminal differentiation into plasma cells, making it a reliable lineage marker for human and mouse B-cells in flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry panels used to classify B-cell lymphomas. Raised in rabbit and supplied as a 100 µg liquid aliquot, this unconjugated IgG reagent is validated for western blot (WB) and immunocytochemistry (ICC) workflows and offers consistent performance for studies of BCR signaling, B-cell development, and lymphoid malignancy research. Store at -20°C in single-use aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles of the preparation.
