A rabbit polyclonal antibody targeting the human CD68 protein, supplied as an unconjugated liquid reagent in 100 µl format. From Antibodies.com, this polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit and validated for Western blot (WB) and ELISA applications against human samples.

CD68 is a heavily glycosylated lysosomal-associated membrane glycoprotein widely used as a pan-macrophage marker in cell biology, immunology, and pathology research. It is strongly expressed in macrophages, monocytes, Kupffer cells in liver, microglia in brain, alveolar macrophages in lung, and osteoclasts in bone. The antibody is commonly used to characterize myeloid cell populations in studies of inflammation, atherosclerotic plaques, tumor-associated macrophages, and granulomatous disease.

Because the reagent is unconjugated, it can be paired with HRP-, biotin-, or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies to suit individual assay needs. The polyclonal nature of the antibody provides multi-epitope recognition, which can be advantageous when detecting CD68 in samples where single-epitope reagents yield weak or variable signals.
