CD58, also referred to as Lymphocyte Function-Associated Antigen 3 (LFA-3), is a heavily glycosylated immunoglobulin-superfamily cell-surface protein that binds CD2 on T lymphocytes and natural killer cells, helping to stabilize the immunological synapse and deliver co-stimulatory signals during early lymphocyte activation. This Antibodies.com reagent is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against CD58 and validated for Western blot detection in human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting comparative research on T-cell co-stimulation, cell-cell adhesion, and immune-synapse biology across species.

Each vial contains 100 µl of unconjugated antibody at 1 mg/ml, prepared in phosphate-buffered saline at approximately pH 7.2 with 0.05% sodium azide added as a preservative. The polyclonal host format broadens epitope coverage and improves recognition of both native and denatured forms of CD58 in cell lysates and tissue homogenates. Storage at 4 °C is recommended for short-term use; aliquot on arrival to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve binding activity. The reagent is intended for research use only and for in vitro western blot workflows.
