The Antibodies.com Anti-CD56 polyclonal reagent is a rabbit host antibody supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated product, validated for Western blot and ELISA workflows on human samples. CD56, also known as Neural Cell Adhesion Molecule 1 (NCAM1) or NKH-1, is a transmembrane glycoprotein widely used as a marker of natural killer (NK) cells, certain cytotoxic T-cell subsets, neuronal tissue, and neuroendocrine differentiation. Researchers studying NK-cell biology, neuroimmunology, and tumor immunophenotyping rely on CD56 immunolabeling to discriminate lymphoid populations and to characterize small round blue cell tumors, neuroendocrine carcinomas, and selected hematologic malignancies such as NK/T-cell lymphoma. As a polyclonal reagent raised in rabbit, this antibody binds multiple epitopes on the CD56 extracellular domain, which can improve detection sensitivity across immunoblotting and ELISA applications. The unconjugated format allows users to pair it with their preferred secondary antibody and detection chemistry. Refrigerate upon arrival; aliquot to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve reactivity over multiple experiments. Each 100 µl vial is intended for research use only.
