CD55, also known as Decay Accelerating Factor (DAF), is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored regulator of the complement cascade that protects host cells from autologous complement attack. This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and specifically recognizes an epitope centred around residue 142 of the human protein.
Supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, the 50 µl aliquot supports immunohistochemistry workflows on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue. Research uses include mapping complement regulatory protein expression in autoimmune disease models, transplant rejection studies, and tumour microenvironments where elevated CD55 contributes to immune evasion by malignant cells.
