Anti-CD55 Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal reagent targets human CD55 (Decay Accelerating Factor, DAF), a ~70 kDa GPI-anchored regulator of complement activation. CD55 accelerates the decay of C3 and C5 convertases, shielding autologous cells from complement-mediated lysis, and its loss from the cell surface is the molecular hallmark of paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH).

Supplied in a vial as 100 µl of unconjugated polyclonal rabbit antibody, the reagent is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows on human samples. Researchers can apply it to profile CD55 expression across cultured cell lines, fresh-frozen or formalin-fixed tissue sections, and primary cells, including studies of complement regulation in healthy tissue versus tumor specimens where CD55 overexpression has been linked to immune evasion in colorectal, gastric, ovarian, and other carcinomas.
