CD52 is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored cell surface glycoprotein best known as the molecular target of the therapeutic antibody alemtuzumab. This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against mouse CD52 and validated for western blot (WB), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry on paraffin sections (IHC-P). It detects the antigen on mature lymphocytes, including T cells, B cells, and natural killer cells, as well as certain myeloid and epithelial lineages. The unconjugated IgG preparation is supplied as a 100 µl liquid aliquot in a vial. For best stability, store at -20°C in single-use aliquots and limit freeze-thaw cycles; short-term working dilutions can be kept refrigerated. Researchers use this reagent to study lymphocyte surface markers, complement-mediated cell clearance, and murine models of immune regulation. The target's small mature peptide (~12 amino acids) and short cytoplasmic tail make it a useful marker for GPI-anchor biology and lymphocyte subset analysis.
