CD48 (also known as SLAMF2 or BCM1) is a GPI-anchored cell surface glycoprotein of the CD2 immunoglobulin superfamily involved in lymphocyte adhesion and activation signaling through CD2 and CD244 binding. This rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent, unconjugated for flexible secondary detection, targets CD48 in human, mouse, and rat samples and is validated for Western blot application. The 100 µl volume supports multiple probing experiments across membrane and cytoplasmic fractions, and the polyclonal format broadens epitope recognition across different post-translational modifications of the target. Researchers investigating immune cell interactions, NK-cell and T-cell activation pathways, and costimulatory receptor signaling can apply this antibody to whole-cell lysates and immunoprecipitated samples. Produced by Antibodies.com as part of its primary antibody catalog, the reagent serves immunology, hematology, and cell biology studies where reproducible CD48 detection in WB workflows is required.
