The Antibodies.com Anti-CD42d polyclonal reagent is an unconjugated rabbit primary antibody raised against CD42d (glycoprotein V), an approximately 82 kDa subunit of the platelet GPIb-V-IX complex that mediates von Willebrand factor-dependent adhesion and thrombus formation. Validated for Western blot and ELISA workflows, the antibody recognizes the human, mouse, and rat orthologues, supporting cross-species platelet and megakaryocyte research. The 100 µl aliquot is supplied unconjugated, allowing direct selection of reporter labels such as HRP, fluorophore, or biotin to suit the chosen detection platform. Useful applications include characterization of GPIb-V-IX subunit expression on resting and activated platelets, study of CD42d shedding during agonist stimulation or platelet storage lesion, and probing of megakaryocyte lineage lysates by Western blot.
