Raised in rabbit, this unconjugated polyclonal immunoglobulin reagent targets human CD40 Ligand (also called CD154 and TNFSF5), a type II transmembrane co-stimulatory molecule of the TNF superfamily expressed on activated CD4+ T lymphocytes, platelets, and several other immune cell populations. Antibodies.com supplies the reagent at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, packaged as a 100 µl vial that drops directly into standard immunodetection workflows.

Validation covers Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence, supporting studies of T cell-dependent B cell activation, immunoglobulin class-switch recombination, germinal centre formation, and broader costimulatory signalling. Laboratories investigating X-linked hyper-IgM syndrome, systemic lupus erythematosus, transplant rejection, atherosclerosis, and tumour-immune crosstalk routinely apply anti-CD40L antibodies to map ligand distribution in tissue sections and to confirm induced expression on activated T cell cultures.

Aliquot upon receipt to limit freeze-thaw cycles and store at -20 degrees C in the supplied glycerol-containing buffer; brief handling at 4 degrees C is acceptable during use. Protect from light. For research use only.
