Anti-CD3E Polyclonal Antibody for T-Cell Research

CD3E encodes the epsilon subunit of the CD3 complex, a transmembrane signaling component of the T-cell receptor (TCR) that is expressed on the surface of virtually all mature T lymphocytes and thymocytes. Engagement of the TCR by peptide-MHC ligands triggers phosphorylation of immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activation motifs (ITAMs) on CD3E, initiating the intracellular signaling cascade that drives T-cell activation, proliferation, and effector differentiation. Because CD3E is restricted to the T-lineage, antibodies directed against it are routinely used as pan-T-cell markers in immunology, transplant biology, and tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte studies.

This rabbit polyclonal reagent is supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated antibody in a 100 µl vial, applied to western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows on human, mouse, and rat specimens. The polyclonal format increases the likelihood of recognizing multiple epitopes on the epsilon chain, which is helpful when probing denatured lysates or fixed tissue sections where a single monoclonal epitope may be masked by formalin cross-linking. For long-term stability, the antibody should be stored frozen in single-use aliquots to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and handled on ice during preparation of working dilutions.
