This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com recognizes human CD37, a tetraspanin-family cell surface glycoprotein that is most strongly expressed on B lymphocytes through nearly all stages of B-cell maturation, with the notable exception of plasma cells and the earliest pro-B stage.

Raised in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated IgG preparation, the reagent is provided as a 100 µl volume sized for routine Western blot work on human samples. The polyclonal format allows the antibody to bind multiple epitopes across the target, which is helpful when probing denatured CD37 in lysates prepared from cultured B-cell lines or primary lymphoid tissue, and the unconjugated format makes it straightforward to pair with a secondary reporter of the researcher's choice.

CD37 is studied in immunology because it participates in B-cell signaling, survival, and immune synapse organization, and it has emerged as a candidate antigen for antibody-based therapies against B-cell malignancies such as non-Hodgkin lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia. For best results, the antibody should be handled using standard polyclonal antibody storage and aliquoting practice to preserve activity across repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Intended for research use only.
