The CD36 antigen, also known as fatty acid translocase (FAT), GPIV, or SR-B3, is an approximately 88 kDa integral membrane glycoprotein expressed on platelets, macrophages, adipocytes, microvascular endothelial cells, and striated muscle. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against CD36 and validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples, supplied as a 100 µl liquid aliquot in a vial.

Researchers use it to probe endogenous CD36 in cell lysates and fixed tissue sections, supporting studies of long-chain fatty acid uptake, oxidized LDL scavenging, foam-cell biology, thrombospondin signalling, and the cytoadherence of Plasmodium falciparum-infected erythrocytes to vascular endothelium. The unconjugated format allows flexibility for secondary labelling in chromogenic or fluorescent detection workflows.

Aliquot on arrival and refrigerate to preserve activity across multiple freeze-thaw cycles; titrate for individual Western blot and IHC assay conditions. Host: Rabbit. Clonality: Polyclonal.
