Raised in rabbit and affinity-purified by epitope-specific immunogen chromatography, this polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is targeted against CD34 (Hematopoietic progenitor cell antigen CD34), a sialomucin-type transmembrane glycoprotein widely used as a marker of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells and of vascular endothelial precursors. The immunogen is a synthetic peptide derived from the internal region of human CD34, and the antibody detects endogenous levels of the protein. It is supplied as a 50 µL liquid formulation in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide, at a concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL, and is unconjugated, leaving the user free to choose a downstream label or enzyme. Validated applications are Western blotting (WB) and ELISA, and the reagent has been tested for reactivity against human and mouse samples. For routine use, the vial is shipped at 4 °C; upon receipt it should be aliquoted and stored at -20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity. As a research-use-only primary antibody, it is intended for laboratory studies of hematopoietic and endothelial cell biology, stem-cell isolation workflows, and characterization of CD34-positive populations in cell and tissue lysates.
