This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is a rabbit-derived antibody raised against the human CD34 antigen, supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in a PBS buffer containing 0.1% sodium azide as a preservative and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotective carrier. The 100 µl pack size is aliquoted for routine immunolabelling work.

CD34 is a type I transmembrane sialomucin expressed on hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells, vascular endothelium, and a subset of mesenchymal stromal cells, making it a widely used phenotypic marker in studies of hematopoiesis, vasculogenesis, and tumor angiogenesis. Validated research applications for this antibody include Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human tissue, with reactivity confirmed for the human target. Because the reagent is unconjugated, it can be paired with the secondary antibody of choice for chromogenic, fluorescence, or HRP-based detection workflows.

Working aliquots are recommended for short-term refrigerated storage, while the glycerol-containing stock is best kept frozen to limit freeze-thaw cycles. Sodium azide in the formulation is incompatible with some downstream enzymatic reactions, so users should buffer-exchange into azide-free diluent before coupling or staining protocols that are azide-sensitive.
