CD33 (Siglec-3) is a transmembrane sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin-like lectin expressed predominantly on cells of the myeloid lineage, including monocytes, macrophages, and granulocytes, and it has become a focal point in acute myeloid leukemia research and in studies of immune cell differentiation. This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised in rabbit and recognizes an epitope conserved across human, mouse, and rat CD33, supporting comparative studies in tissue lysates and fixed specimens. The unconjugated antibody is supplied at 1 mg/ml in 100 µl aliquots in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant, providing flexibility for direct labeling or for pairing with secondary detection systems in Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows. Its cross-species reactivity makes it useful for translational projects that compare CD33 expression in patient-derived xenograft models, murine disease models, and rodent tissue panels, while the polyclonal format increases the likelihood of detecting multiple epitopes on the target glycoprotein.
