Rabbit polyclonal antibody targeting the CD31/PECAM-1 antigen, supplied by Antibodies.com as a 50 µl aliquot at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2.

CD31, also known as PECAM-1 (Platelet Endothelial Cell Adhesion Molecule-1), is a ~130 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein of the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is heavily expressed on vascular endothelial cells and platelets and serves as a canonical marker of the endothelial lineage in studies of angiogenesis, vasculogenesis, inflammation, and tumor microvasculature. PECAM-1 mediates homophilic adhesion at endothelial intercellular junctions and contributes to leukocyte transmigration across the vessel wall during inflammatory responses.

The reagent is unconjugated, raised in rabbit, and validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications on human samples, making it useful for vascular biology research, characterization of endothelial differentiation in cell culture, and assessment of microvessel density in tissue sections.
