Raised in rabbit against the human CD274 immunoregulatory protein, this unconjugated polyclonal reagent is supplied by Antibodies.com at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. CD274, more familiar in research literature as PD-L1 or B7-H1, is a roughly 40 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein of the B7 family of immune modulators; it engages PD-1 on activated T cells to attenuate antigen-driven signaling and is widely investigated as an immune checkpoint in tumor microenvironments, chronic viral infection, and autoimmune settings. Validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples, the antibody recognizes its target without an attached fluorophore or enzyme, leaving the choice of secondary detection chemistry to the laboratory. Each vial contains 100 µl of working stock ready to dilute into blocking buffer for immunoblots of whole-cell lysates or for antigen retrieval protocols on formalin-fixed tissue sections. Keep refrigerated in the original vial; the sodium azide acts as a microbial preservative, so handled material should be disposed under institutional hazardous-waste guidelines. The reagent is intended for research use only and has not been validated for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
