Anti-CD272 (W153) Antibody

Raised in Rabbit and affinity-purified from antiserum by epitope-specific affinity chromatography (purity > 95% by SDS-PAGE), this unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol at approximately pH 7.2, and is validated for Western Blot at a working dilution of 1:500–1:1000. The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 120–176 of human CD272 (BTLA, B- and T-lymphocyte attenuator; UniProt Q7Z6A9), giving a predicted molecular weight of approximately 33 kDa. The antibody cross-reacts with Human, Mouse and Rat samples, making it suitable for comparative studies of BTLA expression across these species. For best stability, the 50 µl aliquot should be kept refrigerated at 2–8 °C for short-term use (up to two weeks) and stored at –20 °C in small aliquots for longer term to prevent repeated freeze-thaw cycles; under these conditions the reagent remains stable for 12 months from the date of receipt. Because it is unconjugated Rabbit IgG, the antibody is well suited as a primary reagent for standard immunoblotting workflows, including detection with HRP- or fluorophore-labelled anti-rabbit secondary antibodies.
