BTLA, also designated CD272, is a type-I transmembrane glycoprotein of the CD28 immunoglobulin superfamily that functions as a co-inhibitory checkpoint receptor on B and T lymphocytes, NK cells, and dendritic cells. The Antibodies.com Anti-CD272 polyclonal reagent, raised in rabbit and supplied unconjugated in a 100 µl vial, is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples. Investigators studying BTLA–HVEM co-signaling, autoimmune disease models, lymphoma immunophenotyping, and the tumor immune microenvironment use this primary antibody to map BTLA expression across lymphoid tissues and to characterize checkpoint profiles on infiltrating lymphocyte populations. Polyclonal epitope coverage supports detection of full-length BTLA under reducing conditions on Western blot and yields consistent membrane and cytoplasmic staining in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
