CD271, also known as the low-affinity nerve growth factor receptor (NGFR or p75NTR), is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily. This Antibodies.com polyclonal reagent recognizes the extracellular domain of CD271 and has been validated for Western blot analysis of mouse and rat tissue lysates, where it typically detects a band near 75 kDa. The antibody is supplied as 100 µg of liquid in a vial, and small aliquots should be stored frozen to preserve activity across multiple freeze-thaw cycles. Researchers use CD271 immunolabeling to enrich neural crest-derived stem cells, characterize Schwann cell precursors, and study melanocyte lineage commitment, peripheral nerve injury models, and neurotrophin signaling pathways in vitro and in vivo.
