The Antibodies.com rabbit polyclonal reagent specifically targets CD249, also referenced in literature as Aminopeptidase N (APN, gene symbol ANPEP), a zinc-dependent type II integral membrane metalloprotease. This unconjugated polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit and is validated for Western blot and ELISA workflows. The antibody is supplied as 100 µL of liquid, suitable for research use only, and has been confirmed to react with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples. Because CD249 is broadly expressed on epithelia of the kidney, intestine, and prostate, on myeloid lineage cells including monocytes and granulocytes, and on a subset of fibroblasts and endothelial cells, this reagent is well matched to studies of myeloid differentiation, epithelial polarity, and aminopeptidase-mediated peptide processing. It has also been applied in investigations of coronavirus entry biology, where CD249 serves as a co-receptor or attachment factor for several human coronavirus strains. As an unconjugated polyclonal, the reagent offers flexibility to be paired with a user-selected HRP, biotin, or fluorophore-labelled secondary for detection in immunoblotting or plate-based immunoassays, and is supplied as 100 µL aliquots.
