Offered by Antibodies.com, this affinity-purified rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against an internal-region peptide of human CD248 (also known as CD164L1, endosialin, or tumor endothelial marker 1) and is supplied as a 50 µl liquid formulation at 1 mg/mL in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide. The unconjugated antibody is intended for Western blot (recommended dilution 1:500–1:1000) and ELISA (recommended dilution 1:10,000) workflows, and it has been validated to detect endogenous levels of CD248 in human samples, making it well suited to studies of tumor vasculature and stromal biology. Each lot is shipped at 4°C and should be aliquoted upon arrival and stored at –20°C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity. Because the host species is rabbit and the clonality is polyclonal, the reagent delivers broad epitope coverage that is useful when probing the multi-domain endosialin glycoprotein, and the unconjugated format gives researchers the flexibility to choose their own reporter or label for downstream detection. As an affinity-purified preparation, the antibody is enriched for antigen-specific immunoglobulin from the crude antiserum through epitope-specific affinity chromatography, supporting low-background performance in the recommended applications.
