CD248, also called endosialin or TEM1, is a transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on mesenchymal cells, activated pericytes, and tumor stroma, making it a relevant marker for vascular and oncology research. This Rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets the human CD248 antigen and is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated reagent for Western blot and ELISA workflows. Because the polyclonal pool recognizes multiple epitopes on the target, it tolerates partial protein denaturation and tends to perform reliably across lysate and tissue homogenate preparations. Laboratories studying tumor angiogenesis, fibroblast activation, or pericyte recruitment commonly pair this reagent with HRP-, AP-, or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies for chemiluminescent, colorimetric, or immunofluorescence readouts. Storage is typically under refrigerated conditions, with aliquoting after first thaw recommended to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve long-term activity for studies on stromal biomarkers in tumor and tissue samples.
