CD248 (also called Endosialin or TEM1) is a single-pass transmembrane glycoprotein selectively expressed on mesenchymal cells such as pericytes, stromal fibroblasts, and neovascular endothelium. This unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and validated for Western blot detection of the human, mouse, and rat target, supplied as 100 µl of a 1 mg/ml stock in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol for routine bench-top handling.

Researchers in tumor biology, vascular remodeling, and fibrosis use CD248 immunoblotting to track stromal and pericyte markers in cell lysates and tissue extracts, supporting studies of angiogenesis, mesenchymal stem cell differentiation, and tumor microenvironment characterization. Reactivity spans three species, allowing parallel comparison of rodent disease models and human clinical samples on the same blot.

The polyclonal host response recognizes multiple epitopes on the Endosialin ectodomain, providing broad coverage of full-length and proteolytically processed forms of the antigen in denatured Western blot samples. Store the vial refrigerated and protected from light; the 50% glycerol cryoprotectant maintains antibody activity through repeated freeze-thaw cycles for ongoing longitudinal studies.
