This Rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets CD239 (also known as Basal Cell Adhesion Molecule, BCAM) and is supplied as a 50 µl liquid aliquot at a concentration of 1 mg/mL. It is unconjugated and was raised in rabbit, then affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen consisting of a synthesized peptide derived from the internal region of human CD239. The antibody detects endogenous levels of CD239 protein and is validated for Western blot (WB) work, with reactivity confirmed against Human, Mouse and Rat samples. The formulation is a PBS buffer containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide, and the product is shipped on wet ice at 4 °C; upon receipt it should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve performance. Intended strictly for research use, the reagent is offered through the Antibodies.com catalogue as a primary antibody and is suitable for laboratories studying cell-surface adhesion molecules, Lutheran blood-group antigen biology and related signaling pathways across human and rodent model systems.
