CD239, also known as Basal Cell Adhesion Molecule (BCAM) or the Lutheran blood group glycoprotein, is a transmembrane receptor that mediates cell adhesion to laminin within the extracellular matrix. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets the CD239 antigen and is supplied as 100 µl of reagent for laboratory workflows.

The antibody was raised in rabbit and detects the human CD239 protein, with reactivity confirmed for mouse and rat orthologs. It is validated for Western blot (WB) and ELISA applications, supporting studies of erythrocyte membrane biology, vascular endothelial signaling, and sickle cell disease research where BCAM-mediated binding to laminin contributes to the pathophysiology of vaso-occlusion.

The reagent is provided as a polyclonal antiserum and should be stored and aliquoted following standard antibody handling practice. Intended for research use only, it offers a reagent for immunoblotting of cell lysates and ELISA-based antigen detection across human, mouse, and rat sample types.
