The CD201 protein, also called endothelial protein C receptor (EPCR) or PROCR, is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein found predominantly on vascular endothelial cells. It binds protein C and activated protein C, amplifying the anticoagulant activity of the protein C pathway and serving as a key regulator of vascular homeostasis.

This Antibodies.com rabbit polyclonal reagent targets the extracellular domain of the receptor and is validated for Western blot and ELISA workflows. Supplied as a 100 µL volume, the antibody recognises the human target and cross-reacts with mouse and rat orthologues, supporting translational studies that bridge cell culture models with rodent tissue samples.

Common research applications include mapping endothelial activation in thrombosis, sepsis and inflammation models, characterising EPCR expression on hematopoietic stem and progenitor cell populations, and probing tumour microenvironments where the receptor has been linked to metastasis and chemoresistance. The unconjugated format permits flexible pairing with secondary antibodies or custom fluorophore conjugations depending on the chosen detection platform. For routine handling, the reagent is aliquoted and stored refrigerated to preserve polyclonal stability through repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
