Anti-CD1D Antibody

It is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications, with reactivity confirmed against Human, Mouse and Rat samples. The unconjugated IgG reagent is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% Sodium Azide and 50% Glycerol.

The antibody was raised against recombinant full-length Human CD1D, and the resulting CD1D pAb detects endogenous levels of CD1D protein. It has been affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen, with a purity greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE. The expected molecular weight of the detected target is approximately 37 kDa.

CD1D belongs to the CD1 multigene family, which encodes five forms of the CD1 T-cell surface glycoprotein in human, designated CD1A, CD1B, CD1C, CD1D and CD1E. CD1 is a type I membrane protein with structural similarity to the MHC class I antigen, and presents lipid antigens for recognition by T lymphocytes. CD1D is present on human intestinal epithelial cells (IEC) and exists either as a β-2-Microglobulin-independent nonglycosylated form or a β-2-Microglobulin-dependent glycosylated form.
