Anti-CD1D Antibody

A polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets the CD1D protein, a beta-2-microglobulin-associated transmembrane glycoprotein that presents lipid and glycolipid antigens to invariant natural killer T (iNKT) cells. Raised in rabbit, the reagent recognizes an epitope shared across the human, mouse and rat orthologues, supporting comparative immunology studies in both rodent models and clinical samples.

Validated applications include Western blot for protein-level detection in cell lysates and immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections. Each vial contains 100 µL of antibody at 1 mg/ml in PBS, supplemented with 0.1% sodium azide as preservative and 50% glycerol as cryoprotectant. Storage at -20°C in single-use aliquots is recommended to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve binding activity over extended use.

The unconjugated format leaves detection chemistry open, so researchers can pair the reagent with HRP-, biotin-, or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies depending on the assay platform. Reactivity has been confirmed for human, mouse and rat, while performance against other species has not been formally established.
