CD1C is a lipid-antigen-presenting glycoprotein of the CD1 family, expressed on cortical thymocytes, Langerhans cells, and a subset of B cells, where it samples self- and microbial lipids for surveillance by T cells. The Antibodies.com polyclonal reagent raised in rabbit recognises the human CD1C polypeptide, making it useful for research into antigen presentation, dendritic-cell biology, and B-cell subset characterization. Provided as an unconjugated antiserum in a 100 µl volume, the reagent supports western blot and ELISA workflows and is reactive with human samples. Working aliquots should be refrigerated for routine use and stored frozen for longer-term retention, with repeated freeze-thaw cycles avoided to preserve binding activity. Researchers studying cutaneous immunity, vaccine adjuvanticity, and innate-like T-cell responses use CD1C-directed antibodies to track the type-2 conventional dendritic cell compartment and to investigate glycolipid presentation in disease contexts ranging from infection to autoimmunity.
