Anti-CD1B Antibody

The CD1B target belongs to the CD1 group of MHC-like transmembrane glycoproteins that present lipid and glycolipid antigens to T cells. CD1B is classified as a group 1 CD1 isoform alongside CD1A and CD1C, with a predicted molecular weight of approximately 44 kDa.

It is expressed on cortical thymocytes, Langerhans cells, and a subset of dendritic cells, and has a documented role in presenting mycobacterial cell-wall lipids, including mycolic acid and lipoarabinomannan, to CD1-restricted T lymphocytes.
