CD19 is a 95 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein of the immunoglobulin superfamily and serves as a defining surface marker of the B-lymphocyte lineage, expressed from the pro-B cell stage through mature B cells and downregulated upon terminal differentiation into antibody-secreting plasma cells.

This unconjugated Mouse monoclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against the human CD19 antigen and cross-reacts with the mouse ortholog, supporting parallel studies across human specimens and murine disease models. The antibody is supplied at 100 µl in a stabilizing buffer composed of 1% BSA and 40% glycerol in Tris-buffered saline at pH 7.4, with 0.05% sodium azide as preservative.

Validated applications include Western blot for protein-level detection, immunohistochemistry for visualizing B-cell distribution in lymphoid tissues, and flow cytometry for immunophenotyping B lymphocytes within mixed leukocyte populations. Typical research uses include characterization of B-cell development in knockout or transgenic mice, profiling of B-cell malignancies such as chronic lymphocytic leukemia and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, and gating of B-cell subsets within multicolor flow cytometry panels. The unconjugated format allows users flexibility to pair the reagent with custom secondary antibodies or to conjugate it directly to a fluorophore of choice.

For storage, keep refrigerated at 4 °C; aliquot if extended use is anticipated and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity. The Mouse IgG1 isotype pairs with standard isotype-specific secondary antibodies for both chromogenic and fluorescence detection workflows.
