This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets human CD177, a GPI-anchored glycoprotein expressed predominantly on the surface of activated neutrophils and recognized under the alternative names NB1, PRV-1, and HNA-2a. Provided by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated reagent, it is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, with a 100 µL vial size appropriate for multiple western blot and immunohistochemistry experiments.
The antibody is validated for WB and IHC workflows on human samples, where it is commonly used to investigate neutrophil biology, ANCA-associated vasculitis, polycythemia vera, and other myeloproliferative conditions in which CD177 expression is dysregulated. Polyclonal reactivity against a cell-surface marker gives researchers broader epitope coverage than monoclonal alternatives, supporting consistent detection in tissue sections and immunoblots. The 50% glycerol content protects the protein from freeze-thaw damage during routine aliquoting.
