Anti-CD169 Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this Rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against CD169 (also known as Sialoadhesin, Siglec-1, or SIGLEC1) and is validated for use in ELISA and Western Blot applications on human samples. The antibody is supplied as a 50 µL liquid formulation at 1 mg/mL in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide, and is unconjugated, allowing it to be paired with the secondary detection system of choice. It was generated by immunising rabbits with a synthetic peptide derived from the internal region of human CD169, and the resulting antiserum was affinity-purified by affinity-chromatography using the epitope-specific immunogen so that the reagent specifically detects endogenous levels of CD169 protein. For everyday handling the vial should be kept at 4 °C; for longer-term storage it is recommended to aliquot the product upon arrival and freeze it at -20 °C, taking care to avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The polyclonal nature of the reagent makes it well suited to recognising multiple epitopes on the target, which can be particularly helpful when probing native CD169 expressed on human cells, and it is intended for research use only rather than for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
