The Antibodies.com polyclonal reagent targets CD161, a type II transmembrane receptor of the C-type lectin superfamily also referred to as NKR-P1A (encoded by KLRB1). Expressed on natural killer cells, NKT cells, and mucosal-associated invariant T (MAIT) cells, CD161 is widely used in immunology research as a surface marker for identifying innate-like and unconventional T cell populations. The antibody is raised in rabbit, purified as an unconjugated IgG preparation, and validated in Western blot and ELISA workflows against human samples. Supplied as 100 µl in a vial of ready-to-use liquid, the reagent fits standard immunoblotting volumes for probing cell lysates and recombinant protein preparations. Researchers investigating NK cell development, MAIT cell biology, or the lineage commitment of unconventional T cell subsets can use this polyclonal reagent to probe CD161 expression at the protein level in cultured human cells and primary tissue-derived material.
