Produced by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent, this primary antibody targets CD160, a 27 kDa GPI-anchored glycoprotein of the immunoglobulin superfamily. CD160 is expressed on natural killer (NK) cells, cytotoxic CD8+ T cells, NKT cells, and a defined subset of B lymphocytes, and it functions as a ligand for HVEM (herpes virus entry mediator, TNFRSF14). The reagent is supplied as a 100 µl liquid aliquot and is validated by the manufacturer for Western blot and ELISA workflows, with reactivity confirmed against human samples.

Investigators studying NK-cell cytolytic activity, tumor immune surveillance, decidual NK biology, or herpesvirus entry mechanisms use this antibody to detect endogenous human CD160 in cell lysates and recombinant preparations. As a polyclonal reagent, it offers recognition of multiple epitopes, which can be advantageous when probing for splice variants or partially denatured targets in immunoblotting applications.

For handling, aliquot on receipt and refrigerate the vial; limiting freeze-thaw cycles helps preserve antibody activity over the shelf life of the reagent. The unconjugated format gives flexibility to pair it with HRP- or fluorophore-labeled secondary antibodies across Western blot, ELISA, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry protocols, subject to in-house optimization by the end user. Intended for research use only.
