Anti-CD159a / c Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com recognizes CD159a and CD159c, two closely related type II transmembrane receptors (also called NKG2A/KLRC1 and NKG2C/KLRC2) expressed on natural killer cells and on a subset of cytotoxic CD8+ T lymphocytes. Both molecules assemble as heterodimers with CD94 on the cell surface and engage the non-classical MHC class I protein HLA-E, with CD159a delivering an inhibitory signal through ITIM motifs and CD159c transducing an activating signal via the DAP12 adaptor. The unconjugated antibody is supplied at 100 µl and is validated for Western blot and ELISA workflows on human samples, supporting studies of NK-cell education, tumor immune evasion, viral immunity, and transplant tolerance. Because the reagent is polyclonal and raised in rabbit, it offers broader epitope coverage than a monoclonal alternative, which is useful when probing conserved regions across the NKG2 receptor family and when analysing primary human peripheral blood mononuclear cell preparations.
