Raised in rabbit as a polyclonal reagent against the CD158z target (also known as KIR2DL4), this unconjugated primary antibody from Antibodies.com is supplied at 100 µl and validated for Western blot and ELISA workflows using human samples. CD158z/KIR2DL4 is a member of the killer-cell immunoglobulin-like receptor family expressed on natural killer cells and certain T-cell subsets, and it carries both an immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motif and a functional activating motif, giving it a distinctive hybrid signaling role in innate immunity.

Because KIR2DL4 binds the non-classical MHC molecule HLA-G, this reagent supports research into reproductive immunology, transplant tolerance, and tumor immune evasion, where altered NK-cell function is frequently investigated. The polyclonal format increases the likelihood of recognizing multiple epitopes on the KIR2DL4 protein, which is helpful when probing low-abundance targets or partially denatured samples on Western blot membranes, and the unconjugated format allows researchers to pair it with their preferred secondary detection reagents. Reactivity is reported as human, consistent with the conserved epitopes on the KIR2DL4 extracellular immunoglobulin domains that distinguish this receptor from other KIR family members.
