CD151 is a tetraspanin-family transmembrane protein that forms complexes with integrins such as α3β1, α6β1, and α6β4 and thereby regulates cell adhesion, spreading, migration, and outside-in signaling.
The Antibodies.com primary antibody is a rabbit polyclonal raised against CD151, validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry and reactive with human, mouse, and rat samples. It is supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in a 100 µl volume, formulated in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant.
Researchers use this reagent to map CD151 expression in epithelial and vascular tissues by IHC, to compare protein levels across cell line panels by WB, and to track CD151 as a marker enriched on small extracellular vesicles (exosomes). The polyclonal format detects multiple epitopes on the target, supporting studies of cancer cell invasion, platelet aggregation, wound repair, and integrin-tetraspanin signaling across species.
