The Antibodies.com anti-CD146 antibody is a rabbit polyclonal reagent raised against the MCAM (melanoma cell adhesion molecule) transmembrane glycoprotein, also known as MUC18 or S-endo. CD146 is an approximately 113 kDa member of the immunoglobulin superfamily that serves as a surface marker of endothelial cells, pericytes, vascular smooth muscle cells, and mesenchymal stem cells, and is also detected on activated lymphocytes and on a subset of malignant melanoma cells.

Validated for western blot, immunocytochemistry, and flow cytometry, this unconjugated IgG preparation is supplied in liquid form as a 100 ug vial and reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples. It is widely used in studies of angiogenesis, vascular biology, melanoma invasion and metastasis, and mesenchymal stem cell characterization, where it can be paired with HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies for detection.

For short-term use, store the vial refrigerated at 4 °C; for longer storage, freeze at -20 °C in working aliquots and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. The reagent is intended for research use only and is not approved for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
