Raised in rabbit against the CD14 antigen, this unconjugated polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is supplied in a single vial containing 100 µl of a 1 mg/ml stock in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2.

CD14 is a GPI-anchored pattern recognition receptor best known as the co-receptor for bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS), and it is expressed predominantly on monocytes, macrophages, and neutrophils, where it contributes to TLR-mediated signaling in innate immunity. The reagent has been validated for Western blot and cross-reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples, making it useful for studies of monocyte and macrophage biology, sepsis models, endotoxin signaling, and inflammatory pathways across species.

Sodium azide is included as a preservative; for workflows where azide may interfere with downstream labeling or enzymatic steps, the antibody can be exchanged into an alternative buffer by buffer exchange or dialysis before use. This primary antibody is intended for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
