CD133 (also known as Prominin-1) is a pentaspan transmembrane glycoprotein widely used as a surface marker for identifying hematopoietic stem cells, cancer stem cells, and various progenitor populations. This unconjugated monoclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised in Mouse IgG2a hosts and validated for Western Blot detection of the human CD133 antigen.

The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of purified immunoglobulin in a stabilizing buffer containing 0.1 M Tris-Glycine at pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl, 50% glycerol, and 0.2% sodium azide as a preservative. Researchers working on stem cell biology, oncology, and regenerative medicine use this clone to probe CD133 expression in human cell and tissue lysates, where it produces a band at approximately 120 kDa corresponding to full-length prominin-1.

Storage at -20 °C is recommended, and small aliquots help preserve activity across repeated freeze-thaw cycles. The 50% glycerol formulation keeps the antibody fluid and stable during short-term handling at 4 °C, while the unconjugated format allows flexible pairing with secondary reagents of the researcher's choice for downstream chemiluminescent or fluorescent detection.
