Anti-CD117 (1A9) Antibody

This unconjugated mouse monoclonal antibody, clone 1A9, from Antibodies.com targets the extracellular domain of CD117 (also known as c-KIT or stem cell factor receptor), a type III receptor tyrosine kinase expressed on hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells, mast cells, melanocytes, germ cells, and interstitial cells of Cajal. Supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.3, the reagent is validated for Western blot detection of the receptor in lysates prepared from human, mouse, and rat origin. Researchers studying mast cell biology, melanocyte differentiation, gametogenesis, and gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) signaling rely on clone 1A9 to probe KIT receptor expression and downstream phosphorylation events on immunoblots. The unconjugated format leaves choice of secondary detection reagents open, allowing the antibody to be paired with anti-mouse IgG horseradish peroxidase or alkaline phosphatase conjugates, or with fluorescent labels, depending on the Western blot workflow.
