CD107a, also known as LAMP-1, is a heavily glycosylated lysosomal-associated membrane protein that redistributes to the plasma membrane during cytotoxic granule release. This functional property makes the Antibodies.com rabbit polyclonal anti-CD107a reagent a standard probe for monitoring degranulation in activated human cytotoxic T lymphocytes and natural killer cells. In flow cytometry-based cytotoxicity work, surface-exposed CD107a is quantified to estimate lytic granule exocytosis, supporting characterization of antigen-specific CD8+ T cell responses and NK cell activity.

This unconjugated primary antibody is supplied as 100 µl at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence on human tissue and cell preparations. The polyclonal format offers broader epitope coverage than monoclonal alternatives, while the glycerol-containing buffer permits storage at -20 °C with limited loss across repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Researchers commonly apply it to studies of lysosomal trafficking, autophagy, and immune synapse formation, where LAMP-1 dynamics reflect underlying vesicle biology.
