Anti-CD100 Antibody

From Antibodies.com, this Rabbit polyclonal antibody is raised against CD100 and is supplied as an unconjugated reagent. The antibody is validated for Western blot (WB) and is also listed for use in ELISA applications, with reactivity confirmed in Human, Mouse and Rat samples.

It was generated using a synthesised peptide derived from the N-terminal region of human CD100 and detects endogenous levels of the CD100 protein. The reagent is supplied as a liquid in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide at a concentration of 1 mg/mL, and has been affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using the epitope-specific immunogen. It is shipped at 4°C and should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

CD100 is a homodimeric protein composed of 50 kDa subunits. It is expressed on most haemopoietic cells, including B, T, NK and myeloid cells, and is absent from bone marrow, erythrocytes, eosinophils and endothelial cells, with expression increasing after PHA-activation. In T cells, CD100 associates with partner molecules such as CD45 and a serine kinase, and contributes to homotypic cell adhesion and T-cell activation.
